Full Cloud Server
Even today, many don’t fully understand the real differences between Cloud Server infrastructures offering horizontal scalability and Dedicated Server or Virtual Server infrastructures offering vertical scalability. Cloud solutions are necessarily linked to applications and software and sometimes they are just not the right choice. If an application is cloud-oriented though, it is easy to reduce costs and IT infrastructure management times and make your data available anywhere in the world, thus making your solutions more responsive, more accessible and faster while preserving reliability factors.
In a Full Cloud implementation, resources are allocated entirely in the cloud. A typical application, for example, will have its frontend allocated on a minimum of one to an almost infinite number of Cloud Servers, while its backend database is accessed via simple connection instances, regardless of the number of nodes or systems. Full Cloud solutions eliminate the need for large hardware startup investments and recurring upgrades, offering the opportunity to pay only for the resources actually needed and used!
Hybrid Cloud Server
However, if your application is based on a traditional or ‘legacy’ concept, Cloud and Full Cloud implementations may not immediately fit your needs and there may be no real benefit in transferring it fully to the cloud. Perhaps, though, migration to the cloud may begin to form part of the evolution and development of the application. For example, in a simple client-server software model, the database part may be exploited via cloud instances without worrying about computational resources or user loads.
This is the case of Hybrid Cloud solutions where resources are partly accessed via the cloud and partly via traditional systems. For example, if a company needs massive database computing power only in certain situations, the database can be left on traditional architecture to keep costs down and transferred to the cloud only when needed. Thus Hybrid Cloud solutions offer flexibility to businesses without the need for large and recurring hardware investments and upgrades!
Cloud Server Solution
Here we are talking about Cloud Servers, but we don’t want to do as many other suppliers do by simply changing Virtual Servers to Cloud Servers in service descriptions, while continuing to provide the same old VPS. This runs counter to our mission of maintaining the highest quality standards in advising our clients on the best solutions for their needs.
A Cloud Server infrastructure, or cloud deployed service (accessible via simple browser), is very different from a simple virtual server. It can be said that they only really have one thing in common: the cloud infrastructure that delivers the service is most certainly hosted on one or more virtual servers, with the VPS simply a ‘unit of measure’ in the cloud infrastructure distribution being used.
Our cloud offer relies on consolidated VMware technology for Hybrid Cloud solutions and AWS for Full Cloud solutions. A Cloud solutions should not be implemented haphazardly as they require an engineering and design process to correctly identify the solution that best fits the needs of the application. Then the focus can be put fully on developing and maintaining the application and services, while the cloud takes care of providing all the computing power and resources needed for an unlimited number of users. And all this comes with the full control of resources via a convenient web control panel.
In our cloud solutions, we make entire virtual data centers available to you with infinite computational, memory, disk space and connectivity resources, while eliminating hardware failures and making your application run faster all around the world thanks to geo-distributed resources!
