Server Farm Momit
Momit infrastructure and services are distributed across different locations to ensure maximum flexibility even for the most complex of large corporate projects. Not all geographic locations host the same services due to different hardware implementations or type of data center, but, whatever hosting you choose, data and physical system security is always of prime importance for Momit.
Electronic access control system.
All data rooms have an access control system with biometric or presence detection. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and requested visits.
Strict control of inbound and outbound material.
Non-compliant or sub-quality devices may not be placed in racks, unless there is a dedicated system already in place to deal with them, in order to avoid electrical problems and network slowdowns due to equipment failure.
CCTV video surveillance.
Each and every data room is equipped with CCTV video surveillance for security and intrusion detection. Any access to data rooms implies consent to being filmed on camera.
Onsite staff always on-site for any required matter of urgency.
The constant presence of a technician in the data room is guaranteed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Any intervention, re-start or check can be requested regardless of time or date.
Security staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Data room security is always present regardless of time or date. At least one member of the security team is present 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Redundant power supply with separate channels.
Each rack cabinet can be equipped by two separate electrical sections with separate UPSs and diesel generators. In case of any blackout the full operability of the data room is guaranteed for up to 72 hours.
Electrical backup unit
In order to ensure the continuity of the electrical supply, isolated circuit Uninterruptible Power Supplies with external diesel backup generator are present.
Controlled air conditioning.
Temperature and humidity inside the rooms are strictly controlled to ensure static conditions for installed equipment, with temperatures between 19 and 23 degrees Celsius and humidity between 40 and 60%.
Passive and active fire protection system.
Passive fire protection elements are installed in areas and parts of the building as required by building codes of the country. Active elements consist of electronic detection systems located in floors and counter-ceilings.
IT infrastructure is a critical service for each and every business and we would like to underline the extreme importance that we attach to this fact. The majority of clients look to data centers to minimize disruptions, service outages and consequent economic losses, and this is possible thanks to a complex monitoring system.
Our system monitors the entire IT infrastructure at the server, cluster, network and backup level, and if the client requests it also on the client side (e.g. malfunctioning routers, disk space, CPU usage, RAM usage, data center temperature). When any potential criticality is detected, the system immediately sends an SMS and email to promptly alert the technicians. Therefore if the system goes down, then the economic impact can be minimized, but most often the situation can be tackled by a technical intervention that completely avoids the criticality and consequent down-time.
