How to back up a file with Momit’s Remote Backup Service – This tutorial will show how to remotely back up a compressed file previously created on your system. The key for coloured items in all Momit tutorials comprises of blue items, which are the variables and needs to be substituted with your own configuration parameters; and of green items, which are independent parameters that need to be used as they appear on the tutorial.

1) The shown procedure is independent of the operating system you are using, it is compatible with Microsoft, Linux, Apple systems, both desktop and mobile. Log in to the Remote Backup system with the received credentials. Some browsers may not display the login form due to blocked cookies and javascript, in this case it is necessary to first enable javascript.
2) From the Main menu click “Upload“.
Depending on the operating system, the screen allows you to select a file, select the desired one and confirm the selection. You will return to the previous screen with the “File Path” field filled, indicating the chosen file. In this new window, click “Upload”.
3) The transfer of the selected file begins, a summary screen shows the Upload speed, the remaining time and the summary of the data. The window closes automatically when finished, if you want to stop the process press “Cancel“.
